Warranty

All RAPP Black timepieces are under a lifetime warranty. This warranty does not affect the purchaser’s legal rights under the law in the country of original purchase. While covered by the warranty, products with defects in workmanship and materials will be repaired free of charge, or replaced with a similar product if they cannot be repaired or if the model is discontinued. 

This manufacturer’s warranty does not cover:

  • Life of the battery
  • Normal wear and tear and aging (e.g. scratched crystal, alteration of the color and/or material of nonmetallic straps and chains, such as leather, textile, rubber and/or peeling of the plating)
  • Damage on any part of the timepiece resulting from abnormal / abusive use, lack of care, negligence, accidents (knocks, dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.), incorrect use of the timepiece and non-observance of the use of directions provided by RAPP
  • RAPP timepieces handled by non-authorized persons (e.g. for battery replace, services or repairs) or which has been altered from its original condition.

This warranty shall be honored by authorized retailers and authorized service centers all over the world.

HOW TO ADDRESS A WARRANTY

The purchaser must send the defective timepiece with the original warranty certificate (duly filled in specifying purchase date, retailer name, and reference code) and the receipt or other suitable proof of purchase to the authorized service center in the original country of purchase. Please also include a brief description of what is defective with the timepiece and the repair needed. In the USA, please send your timepiece to the address noted below. Shipping fees for the original shipment are the sole responsibility of the consumer.  We encourage you to send your package certified, insured, or with a traceable shipper.

RAPP BLACK LLC Customer Service Center is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please include a check in the amount of $25.00 payable to RAPP BLACK LLC for return shipping and handling fees.

Non-Warranty Repairs

If the problem is not covered by warranty, your timepiece may be repaired by our Customer Service Department at a nominal fee. All prices for specific repair items are noted below.

REPLACEMENT PART COST

  • Battery - $25
  • Crystal - quoted based on Model
  • Case / Bezel - quote based on Model
  • Band (Rubber/Silicon/PU/Leather) - quote based on Model

Your timepiece will be repaired and returned within 3 to 4 weeks from the date that we receive your package.

HOW CAN I HAVE MY TIMEPIECE REPAIRED?

Your RAPP timepiece may be mailed to our Customer Service Center with a $25.00 check payable to RAPP BLACK LLC for return shipping and handling. If the repair is covered by our warranty and the item is still within the warranty period, the timepiece will be repaired free of charge. If the problem is not covered under warranty or if the warranty has expired, a nominal fee will apply.  In case of replacement, it cannot be

guaranteed that you will receive the same style. A timepiece of equal value and similar appearance will be supplied if the model is not available and / or discontinued. Any timepiece returned without valid sales receipt will be treated as out of warranty.

CAN I ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR MY RAPP BLACK PRODUCTS?

RAPP Authorized Service Center is a full service repair facility. They do not ship out parts on request. For repair costs, please refer to Replacement Part list for applicable fees. 

CAN I ADJUST MY METAL BRACELET?

For all metal bands, special tools are needed to properly remove the pins that hold the links together. Once you receive your additional links, you should visit any reputable jeweler in order to have your links added and sized accordingly.  If desired, you may send your timepiece to RAPP BLACK LLC for adjustment. Please note that link quantities are limited and are not guaranteed to be in stock.

HOW CAN I REPLACE THE BATTERY IN MY TIMEPIECE?

In order to maintain the original pressure for water resistance, it is recommended that you do not attempt to change the timepiece battery yourself. Doing so or going to an unauthorized watch dealer may reduce your water resistance and void your warranty. It is recommended to have your battery changed by an Authorized Dealer.
